Glenda Gibson Asks What Does A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Do?

For Glenda Gibson, what does a licensed nursing home adminstrator do is a question that could take a month of sundays to fully answer. fAs she points, a career in administration is often considered to entail nothing more than a boring job in a humdrum office – rather than a lucrative and stimulating career for the dedicated and hard-working individual. Finely-honed skills can give rise to great advancement opportunities across a range of industries. Indeed, it is vital for any business that administrative duties are carried out with the utmost diligence to ensure the smooth running of the entire organisation. With an effective administrative team in place - and a strong leader to make sure that communications throughout the entire organisation are effectively conveyed – effective administration is beneficial for all employees.

This means exposure to every department, no matter the size of organisation. With  the remit to involve itself in sales, human resources, operations, and marketing, the  administrative sector can aid each step of the process of running any business concern effectively. With this in mind, administrators prove themselves vital for the growth of any business. Glenda Gibson is a prestigious Nursing Facility Administrator, who has worked her way up through administrative levels, and is now an Executive Director in Business Development for a Texas-based management group. Her involvement and sheer hard  work within each of the locations in which she has worked has given rise to increased employee satisfaction and a  decrease in patient complaints – while successfully driving up sales and fulfilling all marketing targets.

However, this is certainly not achieved without hard work and a dedication to developing a range of skills in the workplace. At a foundational level, good computer skills and an understanding of systems is crucial for success. Communication, organisation and an ability to see things within the bigger picture are also vital to career progression within administration. While an administrator has to take responsibility in his or her organisational role, it is also important to work successfully in a team to develop these individual skills. Through hard work and attention to detail, progression to administrative positions with greater responsibilities ought to be possible within any organisation. (There is more valuable advice on this subject to be found in the document, 'Glenda Gibson, What Does It Take To Become A Nursing Home Administrator?')

All things considered, for any new jobseeker or recent graduate a role in administration can go a long way in their career path. Glenda Gibson now boasts over ten years in administrative work and her achievements include boosting survey performances, increasing revenue, driving community involvement and strengthening team morale. The skills and responsibilities required can be applied to any future role, and the exposure to all aspects of a corporation or organisation stands a candidate in good stead for developing an interest in systems at a higher level.

Glenda Gibson, Helping Businesses Reach Their Full Potential With A Business Administration Qualification

For Glenda Gibson, helping businesses reach their full potential is largely a result of her extensive work experience providing her with the skills necessary to work within a close-knit team. Administrative work requires the full attention of each member of the team to comply with organisational guidelines. If any individual worker fails in his or her responsibilities, then this will ultimately prove detrimental to the efforts of other employees. In her role as Nursing Facility Administrator, she has successfully built teams to provide rapid responses to high-level survey outcomes. Indeed, these teams have consistently enhanced individual staff performances and achieved set goals. This has been reflected in increased Employee Satisfaction Surveys – and reduced turnover - while stabilizing the entire department. As the Nursing Facility Administrator this has also included implementing marketing and sales strategies.

The enduring effects of an effective collaborative work environment have benefits that stretch far beyond the limits of work production. The well-being and job satisfaction of all members of a subset have a 'drip down' effect throughout any enterprise or project. Compassion, integrity, and approachability is key to building a productive working environment. It boils down to not only understanding the specific needs of each individual, but being aware of group dynamics - and understanding how best to implement them to fulfill work requirements more efficiently.

For Glenda Gibson, the skills cultivated in a Business Administration qualification means being able to understand the importance of being able to work successfully as part of a team. As she points out, the ability to work collaboratively is frequently listed as one of the top qualities demanded by employers today. Virtually any given job description will include the requirements of 'team player,' 'works well with others,' and so on. As Glenda Gibson indicates, this a quality that is easily claimed but quite difficult to prove.

Glenda Gibson has proven to be a natural manager. Since her studies in Business Administration and Management - and after attaining her Assisted Living Manager certification - her work has shown a clear aptitude in developing teams to meet the needs of every organisation for whom she has worked. This is evident in employee satisfaction rates, her interpersonal skills, and her compassion, which demonstrates the ability to see the bigger picture in any work perfomance related activity. A business degree is a gateway into almost any industry you can imagine, due to the fact that all industries need business-savvy leaders, financial advisors, and competent managers. Typical careers include accounting and finance, management, and retail and sales, but a business degree could get you a job in less typical areas, such as media, marketing and advertising, or as Glenda Gibson has found, nursing home administration. The possibilities are endless, so it is no wonder that business is such a popular choice.

It is important to check the requirements in the state you would like to work in as they vary from state to state.

Accounting and finance is another popular area of study, though it may be necessary to obtain a Master’s Degree or some other specialized qualification for more advanced positions. Graduates in this field may find themselves advising clients on tax and expenditures, taking part in mergers and acquisitions, and reviewing the company’s financial situation, among other things. Glenda Gibson and Women in the workplace

Although it would be wrong to assign binary gender characteristics on the way that employees perform in the workplace there are proven distinctions between the sexes in the way they fulfill their roles. In a country where unfortunately gender equality in professions still has not been reached, it would be worthwhile to companies lacking in this respect take heed to the strengths that a more diverse workforce can bring.

On the whole women have been better performers in building communities. This is something vital to the internal structures of any team, but also comes to play in the wider perception of a business in its further involvement with the public community. This is especially true for local businesses and organisations. Any aspiring female can take inspiration in the road to the top with Glenda Gibson. As a Nursing Facility Administrator who has enjoyed success in her role in various locations across the state of Texas, her ability to develop successful teams and involve sales and marketing drives with the local community is clearly demonstrated. Employee, patient and public satisfaction levels have all seen increase under her authority. Women can show a greater understanding of cooperative relationships and how better to organically utilize them to achieve best results.

Females have a tendency to be better communicators and listeners throughout their professional relationships. This is critical in working as part of any team, or in leading a successful team. Attentiveness to your colleagues needs but also an openness to other ideas and the ability to effectively communicate your own is vital. This ability to be better at collaboration brings greater union and essentially a much stronger team with which to reach objectives and problem solve. Where men can sometimes be quick to action, women are more likely to seek the approval of their colleagues. This allows in general for better relationship with co-workers and harmony among employees gives rise to a more positive work environment as a whole.

This is not to discredit the more masculine qualities of a good employee. In certain industries a more action and individualistic approach is valued, and in some situations more time effective. However with smaller businesses or organisations which provide a service to the local community this would be detrimental. Videos for Glenda Gibson cites teamwork and community outreach as vital in care and rehabilitation facilities not only in improving reputation, but ultimately in driving up revenue as well.

Glenda Gibson - A Multi Talented Woman

Having worked at several diverse institutions throughout her career, Glenda Gibson has a reputation for being multi-talented, able to apply herself to a vast array of different challenges with her habitual composure. Though she first worked as a nursing administrator, she has also worked as an executive director and this has allowed her to develop a whole range of skills, creating innovative solutions to whatever problematic administrative difficulty has come her way. Both of these roles required very different things from Glenda Gibson, but she was able to adapt herself to these circumstances with ease.

Whereas being a nursing administrator often required interacting with patients and those members of the population who needed to be treated with compassion and tact, being an executive director required a more restrained type of authority which Glenda Gibson was easily able to provide. She worked as an executive director at the Brazos Management Group, where she made a reputation for herself in her deftness within the realm of financial forecasting and strategic planning. This role required less interaction with people outside the team of employees and considerable skill at directing larger groups of people to perform complex tasks. Glenda Gibson really shone in this area, knowing intuitively what tasks to set what people and exactly what she could expect from her team. The team that she constructed during her time at Brazos Management Group was composed of only the best and most dedicated employees and they often solved problems in half the time that they has been set, continually exceeding the expectations of those at the top. It was this ability to get the best out of people which really brought Glenda Gibson to the attention of the companys investors and frequently garnered her praise and rewards. For Glenda Gibson the most important aspect of being a business administrator is a willingness to adapt yourself to whatever challenges that the job might present: a business administrator is nothing without the willingness to change. Being in charge means being exposed to a whole range of problems and issues in an intensely pressured situation, but what has distinguished Glenda Gibson is her relaxed can-do attitude towards even the most oppressive of issues, marking her as a truly multi-talented woman in the professional sphere.

Glenda Gibson - The Road to the Top

Glenda Gibson is where she is today by hard work and perseverance. From her early childhood she knew that she wanted to work in business and she set about achieving this goal in a logical and ordered manner. She worked very hard at school and whilst other kids had fun or wasted their time socializing, Glenda Gibson was hard at work doing extra homework or learning something independently. This driven nature served her well in higher education: after getting great results at high school, Glenda Gibson decided to attend Texas University where she studied Business Administration and Education and was on the first step towards achieving her dream job. While she was at university she acquired skills in finance, computer information systems, and in business management, and easily distinguished herself in her classes by dint of her fierce commitment to her work. The teachers loved her because she always applied herself wholeheartedly to her tasks, and this love of her subject also brought her close to her peers. It was obvious to everybody that she met there that Glenda Gibson was going places in the world of business administration and no one was surprised when after university, she walked right into a very respected job at Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation center.

The next chapter in Glenda Gibsons story concerns the time that she spent at Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation, and once more the story concerns Glenda Gibsons commitment to doing better in every department: from the moment that she stepped foot in Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation, she was determined to improve everything around her through the application of the skills that shed worked incredibly hard to acquire. Around Glenda Gibson, things became more efficient and people worked harder. Results were acquired faster and with greater ease. People worked harder because they wanted to work harder and give their best to the company. She was an inspirational influence upon the team as a whole, and during her time at Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation she increased the census dramatically and also directed and extremely popular marketing development. For Glenda Gibson, the road to the top has been paved with hard work and dedication and the lesson that she teaches us all is to do our best in whatever circumstances, never giving up until we have achieved our dreams.

Glenda Gibson - Education is Essential

None of Glenda Gibsons present day achievements would have been possible without the stunning education she received in her early years, which provided the foundation for her later excellence within the field of healthcare. Glenda Gibson attended the University of Texas and studied business administration and this gave her a secure background and plenty of useful knowledge. In the opinion of Glenda Gibson, education is the most essential stage of life: if you fail to educate yourself you may fail to realize your dreams. This is why, from an early age, she has always thrown herself wholeheartedly into the task of acquiring knowledge: this is an attitude that allowed her to win significant acclaim during her time at university and she was the member of many groups, societies and sororities.

Glenda Gibson believes that it is the hard work and effort that she put into her work during her time at university that gave her the uncompromising ethos that she now maintains today. Nobody is born knowing how to work hard: you have to teach yourself to put one hundred percent into everything that you do. This is something that Glenda Gibson learned at the University of Texas through the dedication of her teachers, who taught her the ins and outs of the business world, thoroughly preparing her for the twists that this career would offer. While she was at university, Glenda Gibson never missed a class and always made sure that her work was of the best possible quality. It was extremely important to her that she be competitive and she always emerged at the top of her class. For some students, going to university is about meeting people, having fun, and going to parties. This couldnt be further from the case for Glenda Gibson who had always been incredibly mature for her age: she knew that this was her one chance to distinguish herself and that all her opportunities in life would follow on from the work that she put down in these four years. So she rarely went to parties and though she was popular and well-liked, her focus was unremittingly on her work. It is this single-mindedness that has allowed her to thrive in the present day. The values that you acquire in your youth stay with you for the rest of your life and, as Glenda Gibson knows, education is the most essential step in the character-building that results in a well-rounded adult.
